ABOUT EPOCH XI

Football is a system, not a set of numbers.

Epoch XI is a historical football simulation built to preserve the relationships that make the sport work: individual behaviour, coaching ideas, tactical structure, match state and the context of the era. Rather than reducing football to a single overall rating or a sequence of scripted events, Epoch XI is designed to let outcomes emerge from those interacting systems.

Deep Simulation Mechanics

Players, coaches, tactics, match state and context interact as part of one simulation.

Football Across Eras

Compare players, teams and tactical ideas across generations while preserving historical context.

Outcomes That Emerge

Results are driven by interacting football systems rather than predetermined narratives.

More Than Ratings

Player behaviour, tactical roles, coaching influence and match situations matter beyond a simple overall number.

Great moments aren't scripted. Epoch XI models the conditions that let them happen for football reasons.

THE GAME

Build your club. Draft the squad. Appoint the Manager. Then shape what comes next.

Your Epoch XI career begins with a club of your own. Draft 30 players from a historical pool of 5,600+ and appoint a Manager from a pool of 240+. That club — its squad, Manager, results, transfers and history — becomes your persistent identity across the competitions you enter.

Draft 30 Players

Build a balanced 30-player roster from a historical pool of 5,600+ players. This is the squad your club takes into competition and evolves over time.

Appoint Your Manager

Choose from a historical pool of 240+ Managers and appoint the one whose approach fits what you are trying to build. The appointment shapes how the squad is organized and used.

Compete as One Club

Take your club into quick matches, leagues and tournaments. The squad and Manager can evolve, but the club and its history remain yours.

Evolve Your Club

Place players on the transfer list when you want to make changes, then bring in replacements according to who is available. Managers can be fired and replaced when results or fit demand a different direction. Each decision reshapes the club without resetting its history.

WAYS TO PLAY

Different competitions. One evolving club.

Every format tests your club from a different angle — from a single match to a full league season or major tournament.

Quick Match

Put your club straight into a single fixture — ideal for testing a lineup, a tactical idea or a historical matchup.

4-Team Mini Tournament

A compact round-robin competition where every match matters and there is little time to recover from a poor start.

20-Team League

A full league campaign that tests consistency, squad depth, rotation and adaptation across a season.

32-Team Tournament

A group-and-knockout competition where surviving the group stage gives way to elimination football.

Build Club → Draft → Appoint → Compete → Evaluate → Transfer → Retain or Fire the Manager → Compete Again
FOOTBALL ACROSS ERAS

Different eras. One shared football world.

Epoch XI preserves the historical identity of players and Managers — their tendencies, roles, coaching ideas and tactical context — then lets them coexist inside the same simulation. A Shankly-led club can include Messi. A Mourinho-led side can be built around Pelé. The eras are not isolated; their differences are what make those matchups meaningful.

Historically Informed Profiles

Players and Managers retain historically informed identities even when selected into clubs alongside figures from other generations.

Tactical Evolution

Tactical ideas from different periods meet inside the same simulation rather than being normalized into one modern style.

One Shared World

Build clubs from players and Managers who never shared the same real-world era, then discover how those identities interact.

TECHNOLOGY

Under the Hood

Epoch XI is powered by FUSE, the simulation framework developed to model the interactions between players, coaches, tactics, historical context and match mechanics.

Explore the Technology →

Connected Systems

FUSE provides the framework for player, coaching, tactical and match systems to influence one another instead of being resolved as isolated checks.

Context Matters

The framework is designed to account for football context rather than assuming every player, role or era operates under identical conditions.

Epoch XI First

FUSE is the engine beneath the experience; Epoch XI remains the game. The technology exists to support the football, not overshadow it.
